Johanna M. Sturgill Abilene , TXJohanna M. Sturgill, 80, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Wisteria Retirement Home, Legacy Lane. A memorial service will be 10:00AM on Monday, August 21, 2017 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Johanna was born on July 23, 1937 in Ireland to Tommy Ivory and Jenny Carley of Ireland. She also had six sisters all from Ireland. She was married to the late Charles B. Sturgill of Virginia, VA. After their wedding in England they moved to the United States. She was involved in the March of Dimes, The , The Lupus Foundation and a member of The Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by three sons, Johnny Sturgill, Danny Sturgill and wife Frana, Kenny Sturgil and wife Vonnie; and her daughter Terry Fields; Grandchildren, Dustin Sturgill, Star Sturgill, Jake Atwood, and Raven Fields; and two great grandchildren Isabelle Sturgill and James Sturgill.
