It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John (Bocha) Medovich, born on December 12, 1952, in Stambaugh, Michigan. He peacefully left this world on August 16, 2024 with son Chris by his side.
John leaves behind one brother David Medovich and wife Vicki of Caspian, Michigan, three children, Johnny Medovich and wife Catherine in Texas, Christopher Medovich and wife Kelly in Virginia, and Sheila Medovich in Florida. He was a grandfather to four grandchildren. An Uncle to nieces Sandy Sauerland in Las Vegas and Diana Kidd in St.Louis. John was the beloved son of the late Edward John Medovich and Marjorie Medovich. Also proceeded in death was sister Catherine Rizza and brother Tony Medovich.
John attended Caspian High School and graduated in 1969. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force as a Tech Sergeant in the Heavy Equipment Maintenance unit for 18 years. After his military service, John worked as Chief maintenance engineer officer at the downtown Hilton Hotel for 8 years. From there he became an OTR truck driver at EPES Transportation in Greensboro NC where he dedicated his time and passion until his retirement in 2020.
John had many hobbies that brought him joy, including woodworking, mechanical work, electronics, and plumbing. He was a skilled and talented individual who poured his heart and soul into everything he did.
John's life was tragically cut short due to complications from sepsis and pneumonia. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication that will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
John (Bocha) Medovich will be deeply missed and never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
