John A. ArensbergNEWARK: A Mass of Christian Burial for John A. Arensberg, age 79, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 66 Granville Street, Newark, with John's nephew, Father Ed Keck, as celebrant. John passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on March 20, 1937 in Newark to the late George W. and Vera (Allison) Arensberg.Mr. Arensberg graduated in 1955 from Newark High School. He served with the United States
Army. While living in Michigan, Mr. Arensberg was a licensed real estate broker and appraiser for 27 years. He received his real estate and appraisal degrees from the
University of Michigan. He was also a graduate of American Institute of Banking and Employed by Ohio National Bank for 11 years. Mr. Arensberg was a member of the Licking County Veterans Alliance; life member and Past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O. Elks in Michigan and Ohio; past-treasurer of Houghton Lake
Rotary Club; past-president of Houghton Lake Chamber of Commerce; and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Newark.He is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom and Judy Keck of Newark and Doug and Berneta Volz of Curtis, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Brandon (Ashley) Volz of Charlotte, Michigan, Andrea Volz of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Jenifer (Matthew) Arensberg of Arizona, William (Pat) Keck of Dayton, Mary L. (William) Burkamp of Newark, Father Edward L. Keck of Canton, Kenneth J. (Connie) Keck of Dayton, Carol F. (Dave) Young of Baltimore, Ohio, Roberta A. (Randy) McDonald of Newark, Sally Keck of Hanover, Rita L. (Tony) Adams of Newark, Mark T.
