See, John A. "Jack" 96, died on May 12, 2016. Jack was born on December 20, 1919 in Ely, NV. After graduating high school in Tarrytown, NY, he attended Clarkson College earning a BSCE in 1943. In college, he met and married Jane Neitz See on June 10, 1944. He worked for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics at Langley Field, Virginia from 1943-1951 and had a short induction to the Air Corp Reserve in 1944. Jack worked for The Boeing Company from May, 1951 and retired in December, 1984 as Director - Flight Test and Prototype Development. He was a Wagonmaster, Board Member for the Wichita Guidance Center and the Instrument Society of America. He was an active volunteer at the St. Joseph and St. Francis hospitals and the Step Stone Program at Dear Neighbor Ministry. He supported several Wichita State University programs and was a member of the Fairmount Society. He was a lifetime Catholic and an active member of the St. Thomas Aquinas parish. He was an avid golfer and a familiar face in the neighborhood on his 5 mile daily walks. Preceded in death by his parents, W. Arthur and Mary C. See; his wife of 59 years, Jane See; and their son, John A. See, Jr. Survived by devoted daughter and son-in-law, Jary and Dana Shay of Osage Beach, MO; grandson, Case Gilbreath of Austin, TX; brother, Arthur See of Canfield, Ohio. A rosary will be held at 7 P.M. Monday, May 16, 2016, at St. Thomas Aquinas, 1321 N. Stratford Ln, Wichita, KS 67206. A funeral mass will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at St. Thomas Aquinas. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery. Jack shared with his family his desire to leave a legacy memorial to benefit St. Thomas Aquinas.
