John had a passion in the horse business and was a legend to many. Loved by all and known as the man who could always put a smile on your face even on the darkest of days. John loved his family more than anything and his horses just the same and spent most of his days on the farm training and pushing others to work hard. John had spent the last few years retired and living off his farm with his wife Caroline spending time with grandchildren and the few retired horses he couldn't seem to let go. John had left us all suddenly but was surrounded on his last day by his loving family as god carried him home on Sunday February 16th, 2020 in Albany New York. John has joined in heaven his mother and father Ann and Jack Bailey, brothers William and JL Bailey and sister Debra. John's loving spirit is carried on by his remaining loving family, his wife Caroline, Daughters Kim and Susan Canton, Son Jackson, 5 grandchildren; Carter, blake, Marybeth, Declan and Allison. His Nephews Glen and Leon Bailey and Nieces Nichole and Shennah Bailey, Melanie and Brady Bailey and many cousins and distant family. There will be a memorial service per John's wishes in the early spring at Saratoga Downs. The details of this memorial will be provided by the family as arrangements are made. The family asks for their privacy as they grieve for their loved one and ask that no flowers are sent to the family but instead donations to the horse association are appreciated in place of. John's ashes will be spread at the memorial service per his wishes where he spent most or his time and passion at Saratoga Downs.
