Former long-term resident of Las Vegas and Holman, John B. Sandoval, 92, died April 23 in Littleton, Colo. He was born on May 16, 1921, in Tabasco, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramos Sandoval and Isabel Ammon; his wife, Ida Medina Sandoval; his son, Andre Lee Sandoval; brothers, Tony Garcia, Eugene Garcia, Albert Sandoval, Matt J. Sandoval and sisters, Isabel Sandoval and Dora Garcia Montoya.He is survived by his children, Frances Kidder, Peebles, Ohio; Dr. Isabelle Sandoval, Santa Fe; John Sandoval, Washington, D.C.; and Sandra Hickey, Parker, Colo. He is survived by six precious grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition, John is survived by sister-in-law, Juanita Sandoval, Rowe; and many special nieces and nephews. John worked for the United States Post Office in Laramie, Wyo., for 30 years. He served as volunteer ombudsman for the elderly in Las Vegas, and was a member of the VFW Post in Mora.
