Memorial Visitation for John J. Black, 74, of Palatine will be from 9:30 AM until time of Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Parish, 2515 Palatine Rd, Inverness. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. John was born on November 21, 1941 in Oak Park, IL to Hector and Sarah (nee Coconate) Black. He passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016. John is the loving father of Mark (Amy) and Paul (Susan); beloved grandfather of Grace, Joshua, Maddox, and Justin Black. He is also survived by his former wife, Mary, many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime special friends, Kathleen O'Brien, Maureen O'Brien, Melissa (Bryan) Bluhm and their children Aiden and Allison Bluhm, Megan (Raymond) Jasutis and their children Leah and Jackson Jasutis.
