It is with great sorrow that we announce John Williams, Jack to his family and friends, passed on September 22, 2020. Jack was born on October 23, 1939 in Liberty, Texas, son of John Williams Sr. and Oneida Foret Williams. He graduated and met his wife, Sylvia Kushner Williams at Springdale High School in Springdale, Pennsylvania. Jack and Sylvia were married on June 20th, 1959 and celebrated 61 years together this year. He served in the Air Force before joining Gulf Oil Company as a geochemist. Jack and Sylvia raised their five children in West Deer township of Pennsylvania. He continued his education at night at the University of Pittsburgh. Jack moved with his family to the Houston area in 1982 with Chevron. In 1985, an opportunity with the Houston Area Research Center brought Jack to the Woodlands where he eventually retired.

Jack's family was always his first priority. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts and coached both baseball and football. Jack's favorite hobby was fishing, but also included shooting, hunting, painting, drawing, and photography. Jack will be remembered by his beloved wife, Sylvia, his sister Pat Williams Sherrieb, and his five children: John Williams, Mary Lynn Calhoun, Dave Williams, Pamela Chan and Heather Kahn. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Lee Calhoun, Wesley Calhoun, Ashley Williams, Chris Calhoun, Adam Bradley Calhoun, Nikolas Chan, Alex Chan, Dylan Kahn, Mykal Chan, and Logan Kahn; and 2 great grandchildren: Harper Calhoun and Jack Calhoun.
