John Frederick Sheagren (JF) 63, was born in New York City on January 10, 1961, and later raised in Rockville, Maryland. There, he excelled in school as both a scholar and as an athlete in baseball and football at Thomas Wootton High School and went on to complete high school at Pioneer High in Ann Arbor, MI.
John spent his career as a social worker, after graduating from Western Michigan University where he was a member of the Honor Society. He and his wife moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in 2012 where he loved tending to his garden, and going to the beach to take long walks to hunt for shark’s teeth and enjoy the sunshine.
He passed on November 16, 2024 after a long battle with kidney disease. He is survived by his wife, Julia Robertson, his children Jonathan and Annette, his son in-law and daughter-in-law Joshua and Angela Robertson, his ten grandchildren, his parents, John and Victoria Sheagren, and his siblings, Erik Sheagren and Martha Beals.
