Cook, Jr., John GodfreyJohn Godfrey Cook Jr, age 70, of Appleton, passed away on May 24th 2017. His last day was spent in Costa Rica, his favorite place. John was born on January 14th, 1947, in Park Forest, IL, to parents John Godfrey Cook Sr and Phyllis Shaffer. He attended Crystal Lake High School. He was a proud graduate of Dartmouth College and obtained his MBA at Loyola University in Chicago. John worked for Kimberly Clark from graduation until retirement. After retiring, he moved to Costa Rica part time. John is preceded in death by his parents, John Godfrey Cook Sr. and step mother Marjorie. His mother Phyllis Shaffer and his step father, Richard Shaffer. John is survived by his children: Jordan, Jaden, Kaelin, Megan and their mother, Dawn Cook. Kerry Myers (Cook) and her husband Joseph Myers. Tracy Heinritz (Cook) and her husband Troy Heinritz and their mother, Rosemary Hunt. His grandchildren, Carlie and Casey. His sister, Jill Quinn (Cook) and her husband Jerry Quinn, and three nieces, Nichole, Sabrina and Heather. Services will be held Saturday, June 10th at Calvary Bible Church,1450 Oakridge Road in Neenah. Visitation will be from 1-3, services at 3:00.In lieu of flowers, donations to: Ronald McDonald House Charity and/or Children's Cancer Foundation.
