John H. Graham, IIIAGE: 62 •John H. Graham, III 62 of Green Cove Springs, FL, previously of Newark, DE passed away August 16, 2017 in Christiana Hospital.Mr. Graham was born on December 7, 1954, son of the late John H. and Nell Browder Graham. He was raised in Moncks Corner, SC and graduated high school in 1973 where he was selected to play in the Shrine Bowl. He furthered his education at Furman University, Greenville, SC where he played center for the football team. He joined the ROTC in 1976 and had served in the U.S. Army earning the rank of Lieutenant. He began his career in the Maritime industry working for Maritrans in Philadelphia for 20 years and for Philadelphia Shipyard for 14 years. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Cecilton, MD. He was recently inducted into the Confederate Sons of America. He was passionate about boating and was an Eagle Scout.John is survived by his wife of 15 years, Deborah Jane Garber Graham, his children, Dr. Ashley Graham and fiancée' Chris Messineo of Essington, PA, Caroline Graham of Baltimore, MD and Taylor Graham of Elkton, MD; step-children, Tom Sample, Doug Sample (Lori) and Kim Metzger (Mike) all of Earleville; 2 sisters, Martha Atkinson (Reed) of Charlotte, NC and Gaynelle Bain of Jacksonville, FL and 10 grandchildren.A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 20 from 4 to 5 pm in Zion United Methodist Church, W. Main St. Cecilton, MD where service will follow at 5 pm. Burial will be held in McClellanville, SC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Zion U.M.
