John “Jack” E. Brown 80, of Perry Township, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. Jack was born on July 5, 1936 in Massillon, the son of the late Willard and Katherine (Zill) Brown. He enjoyed woodworking, building lighthouses and seasonal decorations. Jack was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Knouff and his brother, Jim Brown. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Arnold) Brown, whom he shared 56 years of marriage; his sons and their wives, Kirk (Kim) Brown, David (Kelly) Brown, Richard (Cathy) Brown, and Tom (Dawn) Brown; grandchildren, Allen Michael (Angela) Brown, Derek Brown, Megan Brown, Keifer Brown, Kegan Brown, Karen Brown, and Danielle Brown; great grandchildren, Mia and Jameson Duke Brown; and his sisters, Mary Weider and Barb Arthur.
