John JanosVieraJohn Janos passed away peacefully at home, Monday, October 10, 2016 leaving a gap in the duffer golfing world. John was born on April 24, 1933 in Lakewood, Ohio, and graduated from Parma Schaaf high school, in the class of 1951. He graduated from Case Institute of Technology in 1956 as a metallurgical engineer and was a brother in Sigma Nu Fraternity.John's career spanned 42 years with U.S. Steel, starting in the American Steel and Wire plant in Cleveland, Ohio. As Senior Service Metallurgist in the Midwest, john worked in Chicago, St. Louis and Minneapolis where John and Barbara formed long lasting friendships. After retirement in 1996, John worked for 2 years with Viking Materials in Minneapolis, moving in 1998 to Viera, Florida with his beloved wife Barbara Nolan.John loved classical music, played handball for over 30 years, loved golf at Viera East golf course and took time to volunteer in the community, instructing computer skills, and chairing a committee for the Viera East Homeowners Association. He was a long-suffering Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. Go Indians!He is succeeded by wife Barbara, of 59 years, daughter Jeanine in St. Louis Park, MN, and son Michael Janos, in Preston, CT, and his wife Dawn and beloved grandchildren Sean Michael and Grace Nicole. He was predeceased by his sister Evelyn and his father Angelo and mother Mary Truchan.A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Beckman Williamson Funeral Home 5400 Village Drive Viera, Fl. 32955.
