Quinnan Jr. , John Joseph "Jack"John Joseph "Jack" Quinnan Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on April 1,2017. He was born on July 7 in Scranton, PA to John and Clara Quinnan. He was one of seven children (Paul, Bob, Phil, Jerry, Joseph and Marlene). Jack was predeceased by his parents, siblings and wonderful grandson Jason. Jack was happily married to Janet Demtrak Quinnan for 45 years. He leaves behind the following children: Patti (Jeff), Peter (Dave), Jeff(Valerie), Heather(Jerry) and Jamie; and grandchildren: Jon (Cynthia), Jason, Kari, Turner, Victoria, Ashley, Grace, Courtney (Trevor), Matt, Cooper and Riley. Jack also has a one-year old great grandson named Jace. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was selected to be part of an A1 baseball team who travelled throughout the Philippines entertaining the troops. Upon returning home, he began a lifelong career in the insurance business and ran his own agency for over 45 years. For many years, Jack was an active member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Binghamton. As President, he was instrumental in a movement which led to the building of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Vestal. Some of Jack's greatest joys were spending time with his family, golfing at the Binghamton Country Club and relaxing at their vacation home in Puerto Rico. Everyone who knew Jack will miss his bright smile, quick wit, kindness, generosity and the special way he cared for his friends and family. www.daniellehouse.org. A visitation will be at the Allen Memorial Home at 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, NY on Friday, April 7th from 4-7p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Vestal on Saturday, April 8th at 11:00a.m.
