SIEMIENKOWSKIJohn Joseph Jr. John Joseph Siemienkowski Jr., age 68, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the Manor at Perrysburg. He was born on September 22, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to John Joseph and Lucille (Rupp) Siemienkowski Sr. John graduated from Springfield High School and attended BGSU, majoring in education. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he was employed as a skilled machine repairman for the Jeep Corporation for over 30 years, retiring at age 59. An accomplished trumpet player in his youth, John was a skilled photographer as well. He loved bowling, word and number puzzles, and was an avid reader who could finish a novel in a day. A true homebody, he loved spending quiet time with family and friends.John is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carol (Caverly) Siemienkowski; brother, Ronald (Debra) Siemienkowski; sister, Bonnie Siemienkowski; sister-in-law, Deborah Mears; brother-in-law, Bret (Jeannie) Caverly; nephews, Bubba and Christopher Mears; and nieces, Charlene Mears and Victoria Rurak. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Vriezlaar presiding.
