Obituary
John Leonard Selden Jr. aka "Johnny or Uncle Johnny" was born on August 13, 1939 and was called home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2020. He grew up in Roxbury, Ma. graduated from Boston Public Schools, was a military veteran of the United States Army (honorable discharge), and received his bachelors from Bentley College (Accounting).
Johnny worked for Bekins as a truck driver for many years. He loved listening to oldie but goodies music and could always be found out on the dance floor. He was always the life of any family function and never met a stranger that he wouldn't talk to and share his infamous stories. He was a veteran and always took an opportunity to share his memories of how he served his country.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, John & D. Thelma Selden along with his brother Arthur Selden and sister Eugenia (Pun'kin) Wright. Johnny leaves to carry on his legacy, Patricia A. Selden (wife) of Brockton, Ma., Shawn L. Selden (son) of Brockton, Ma., Keith T. Selden (son) of Brockton, Ma., Dawn P. Jackson (daughter) & Theodore "Jack" Jackson (son-in-law) of Acworth, GA., and his 3 grandchildren Devin Selden (MA), Jaylen Jackson (GA), and Jayda Jackson (GA). He also leaves his brother Ronald Selden Sr.(Cynthia), one of his very close cousin Millie McCowan, brothers-in-law Bernard Harris (Andrea), Linwood Harris (Ruthie), Butch Harris (Ann), Robert Berry (late Davienet Berry), sisters-in-law Shirley Randolph (Frank) & Ora Harris (late Hessie Harris), best friend Sammy Williams and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, family and friends.
