John Lynn HacklerJohn Lynn Hackler, 49, of Vivian, Louisiana passed away on July 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Vivian, Louisiana, officiated by Rev. Barry Carter. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 5-7 PM on Saturday, July 8th at Walnut Hill Baptist Church. John was born on July 13, 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee to Lynn and Jane Hackler. He moved to this area from Arlington, Texas in November of 2014. He was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church, and was an Eagle Scout with a Palm. He went to Longview High School in Longview, Texas where he was a member of the marching band. He was employed by CSRA where he served as a computer analyst. John loved movies, superheroes, and he loved food. He enjoyed cooking and grilling. He worked with the Awana's and VBS at his church, and was just a great man with a good sense of humor. John was a great dad and step dad, and a conservative Republican who loved the USA.He was preceded in death by several family members. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Hackler of Vivian, LA, his parents Lynn and Jane Hackler of Arlington, Texas, three children Grayson, Brayden, and Nathan, and three step children, Jack, Kendall, and Audrey. He is also survived by mother in law and father in law, Ray and Judy Jackson, one sister, Ruth Mary Hackler of Cambodia, and two step grandchildren, Caralynn and Carson Ray.Pallbearers will be Eugene McCasland, Steve Buckner, Mark Tyson, Paul Webb, Mike Terry, and Brent Lofton. Honorary pallbearers will be Grayson, Brayden, Nathan, Jack, and Kendall.
