Maronich Sr., JohnMaronich, John Maronich Sr., age 93, of Clinton, formerly of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Angeline L. Solemene Maronich passed away peacefully on November 4, 2016 in his daughter's residence with his loving family by his side. John was born on December 17, 1922 in Tobyhanna, PA and was the son of the late Michael and Julia Keretzman Maronich. He was a proud World War II United States Army Veteran and was awarded the bronze star and two purple hearts. He was employed by Carpenter Technology as steel hooker for several years. He survived by one daughter, Diane Griffin and Rodney of Clinton, one son, John Maronich Jr. and wife Janice of Trumbull, four grandchildren, Brian Griffin of Bridgeport, Dennis Griffin Bridgeport, John Maronich and wife Jenny of Trumbull and Stefanie Maronich of Trumbull and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife, Angeline of 64 years, John was also predeceased by one son-in-law, David Griffin, and his six siblings. Funeral services were held privately on November 9, 2016 at St. James Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Rev. Thomas Lynch. Arrangements were entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home 2220 Main Street Stratford.
