MT. PLEASANT - John Marvin Fredrick, age 73, passed away Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital. John was born on November 29, 1941 in Fairmont, MN to Franklin and Ethel (nee Kateley). John was married to Charlene Croasdale on March 7, 1964. John was an electrician at S.C. Johnson for 35 years, retiring in 2001. John proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-1965. John was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. He had a deep love for Boston Bull Terriers, the Marquette ATV Club, and his grandchildren. John will be dearly missed by his children Susan VandenBranden, Karen Fredrick, Kathee Fredrick (Jeff Luzich), Russell Fredrick (Marya Turkowski), and Jennifer Fredrick (Lonnie Albro); grandchildren Brett Ohrwall, Brandi Ohrwall, Brady Ohrwall, Jessie Krogh, Lonnie Albro, Charlene Albro, and Noah Turkowski; sister, Marsha Stapleman, and brother Scott (Cheryl) Fredrick, and many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Charlene, his parents, and his Boston Bull Terrier and beloved companion, Max. A memorial service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Monday October 5, 2015 at 1200 noon. Visitation will be from 1100 a.m. until the time of service.
