John W. Miller Sr.Port HuronJohn W. Miller Sr., 75, of Port Huron passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in his home. He was born on January 6, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Calvin and Mabel Miller. He married Laura Cope on September 15, 1961 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on November 11, 1995.He owned and operated Cal Miller's Fruit Market for several years; he loved to go up north to hunt and fish, working on cars while he worked at Hoffman Import and especially loved to spend time with all of his family.He is survived by his son, John (Deborah) Miller Jr. of Marysville, a sister Mary Jane McTaggart of Port Huron, three grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Laura and two brothers Raymond and James Miller.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 with visitation starting at 10 a.m. in Smith Family Funeral Home-North with Pastor Phil Seppo officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. in Smith Family Funeral Home -North, 1525 Hancock St, Port Huron. Memorials may be made to his family.
