A life well lived

John Nickolas Natoli, 90, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023, in his home, in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on May 1, 1932, in Wappingers Falls, New York, to John and Lucia (Rago) Natoli. After attending high school, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and served in the Korean War. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1960.

John worked as a Journeyman Wireman and was a proud member of the I.B.E.W. for over 55 years. He enjoyed mentoring young apprentices and also taught various program night classes. He was proud to tell people that he was the first civilian allowed to work at West Point. John was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus St. Mary’s Council 4065 member for many years, serving in various capacities. He was an active member at the Italian Center in Poughkeepsie, where he held the positions of 2nd Vice President and Trustee on the Board of Trustees throughout his tenure. John, and his brother Larry, are fondly remembered for sitting at the end of the bar and scratching off $1.00 lottery tickets on meeting nights.

In his free time, John, and his late wife JoJo, loved watching college sports, especially UCONN Men’s and Women’s basketball, and the Yankees. John also enjoyed an occasional round of golf and attended the Masters in 2001. Together, John and JoJo loved vacationing in Hilton Head and entertaining family and friends in their home. Christmas was also very special, being their favorite holiday to decorate for.

John is survived by his children, Teri Jo Fullmer, Pam (Cary Petersen), Kelli Natoli, and David (Alex) Natoli; grandchildren Justin (Blanca) Gasperini, Jillian (Fernando) Farres, Andrew Amick, Jordan (Alex) Crocker, Taylor Killmer, and Scott Byleckie; 7 beloved great-grandchildren; step-children Kim (Michael) Feola, Lori (Joe) Cavise, and Walter Biscardi, Jr. (Rebecca Corrigal); 3 step-grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his late wife, Josephine, parents John and Lucia Natoli, sister Nancy Terwillegar, and brother Lawrence "Larry" Natoli.

An intimate blessing at entombment will be provided on May 25, 2023, at 10:00 am outside of the mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
