John S. Brown RICHLAND CENTER – John S. Brown, 57, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Pine Valley Nursing Home. He was born on October 4, 1957 in Racine to Frank and Shirley (nee Christensen) Brown. John had been employed with Car-X Auto Service and later with Wisconsin Muffler. As an avid Green Bay Packer fan, he enjoyed watching and talking about the games with his life-long friends—who he adored—as well as anyone who would listen. Above all, he cherished his children, Frankie-Doodle and Kelly-Cuckoo-Bird, who were the brightest stars in his sky. Surviving are his children, Kelly (Scott) Coppernoll and Frank (Vicki) Brown; grandchildren, Ira, Isiah, Isabelle, Ilias, Makenna as well as his grandson, Eli, who will be born in mid-August. He is further survived by sisters, Bonnie (Roby) Swanson and Barbara (Dominic) Lupo, sister-in-law, Pat Burbach and best friends, Mike Porcaro, Dan Pederson, Sam Hernandez, Brian Knauer and Dave Ynocencio. John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Brown. Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sam Jackson officiating. John will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1000-1100. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his children would be greatly appreciated.
