John S. Stup, Jr., 81, of Union Bridge, Maryland, formerly of McPherson Avenue, Glen Burnie, passed away on November 6, 2016. John was born on September 1, 1935 in Germantown, MD. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America. John was a true handyman always tinkering with things, and enjoyed working on cars. His true calling was helping others. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Stup; and his brother, Paul-David Stup. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty Lee Stup; his children, Terri Smoot (Gerald), Michael Stup (Nancy), Lori Leigh Brogunier, John S. Stup III (Ida), David Stup (Nina), and Paula Gibson (Tim); his siblings, Irene Vincent, Ruth Bennett, Dorothy Shaw, Adessa Harper, George Stup, Jacob Stup and Harry Stup. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Thursday, November 10th from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
