John Scott HeaterSept. 03, 1966 - Aug. 23, 2017VisaliaJohn "Scott" Heater, 50, was born on September 3, 1966 in Blythe, Ca., a long-time resident of Visalia, Scott passed away after a brave fight, on August 23, 2017. He attended George-McCann and Crestwood Elementary, Divisadero Jr High, Mt Whitney High School and College of the Sequoias. Scott was an avid sports fan of baseball, football and basketball. He played Little League baseball, football from Pop Warner through High School, and track at Mt Whitney High. He was a lifetime devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Celtics, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Norte Dame Football. His sweetness, kindness and gentleness made him liked by all; and his easy-going spirit and love for the simple things in life will be greatly missed by those who knew Scott.He survived by his mother, Margaret Ann Heater, brothers James L. Heater and Greg Heater and sister, Carolyn Gordon (Chris), niece Sarah Gordon and nephew Andrew Gordon as well as several cousins; he is preceded in death by his father, James E. Heater. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Mary's Church, 608 N. Church, Visalia, on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Arrangements are being made by Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
