John is a great person to have known. While it is very grievous to have lost him, there is good news for his future and it includes us. I offer to family and friends my condolences. Here is John's future according to the creator of the universe:All those in memorial tombs and graves will come out. At John 5:28&29; these words are for us to take comfort from. Like Lazarus, John will come out to life again with us. According to Jesus's words, John's situation is like sleep, and Solomon clearly states that the dead are conscious of nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5). So it is God's intention to have his son bring back to life our loved ones, including John. What a wonderful day it will be to see him again.
It is comforting to know that the God of all comfort will completely remove all grief at the time of the earthly resurrection. The Bible at John 5:28,29 comforts us with the words, Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. God promises that he will do away with death forever, and God will wipe away the tears from all faces. (Isaiah 25:8)
