On August 10, 2017 John passed away in Visalia, California at the age of 89 surrounded by his loved ones. John has three siblings, Lola McClintock (deceased) and two brothers, Emil and DJ Stewart.John married the love of his life Bernice on March 23, 1946. Their marriage lasted 69 years until her passing in 2015. They had three children together, Richard Stewart (deceased), Judy Phillips (Jim), and Jan Collins (Fred). He has six grandchildren, Wally Jackson, Krystal Stewart, Jennifer Wyant (Mike), Richard Stewart (Monique), Tim Keeney (Yukonna), and Michelle Hensley (Aaron), thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.John was a truck driver for twenty years, was an owner of V-R-H Furniture and Stewarts Home Furnishings. He owned an almond ranch in Turlock where he made so many memories with his family. John enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, fishing, golfing, and attending church every Sunday at Cameron Creek Church in Farmersville.John will be remembered for his beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and his deep faith in the Lord. Visitation will be at Smith Family Chapel on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Friday, August 18, 2017, 9:00 AM at the Farmersville First Jesus Name Church of Cameron Creek, 29076 Rd. 164, Visalia, CA.
