Richmond, John StewartJohn Stewart Richmond, 77, of Kimberling City MO, passed away on May 12, 2014. He was born on March 18, 1937 in Salina, Kansas to the late Stewart and Caroline (Bartleson) Richmond. He married Nancy Miller on April 13, 1957 and together they were blessed with three children. John grew up in Manitou Springs, CO eventually moving to Kewaunee, WI to work for Wisconsin Public Service in the nuclear industry. He and his wife relocated to Suamico WI. He retired in March of 1997, eventually moving to Kimberling City MO, where he lived for the last eleven years. He loved to fish, spending countless hours on Table Rock Lake. He was a member of Kimberling City Masonic Lodge 680 and
Elks Lodge 2505. He remained a member of Community Congregational Church in Kewaunee.In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, John was also preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert Richmond. Survivors include: one daughter, Deborah (Dennis) Shimanek of Kewaunee, WI; two sons, Greg (Kat) Richmond of Hollister, MO, and Dan(Karen) Richmond of Rock Hills, SC. Grandchildren; Denny (Sam) Shimanek, Shaun Bertrang (fiancée Jacob Holm), Rebecca (Michael) Dillenbeck, Michael Richmond, and Jacob Richmond; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in law, Elizabeth Ford and nephew, David Richmond, both of California. A memorial service will be held on October 9th, 2014 at Community Congregational Church in Kewaunee. The Reverend Randall Kohls will officiate. Visitation begins at 5:00 PM with the memorial service at 6:00 PM.
