John Valentine Sitzmann25, died on September 20th, 2017 at the Naval Air Station in Kingsville, TX. John was born on May 18th, 1992 in Baltimore, MD. He attended the International School of Indiana and he graduated from Zionsville Community High School in Zionsville, IN. In 2014, John graduated from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD with a B.A. In philosophy and mathematics. He enlisted in the Navy in January of 2016.  John spent the last five months in Baltimore helping his brother, Joe, recover from leukemia at Hopkins. John is survived by his parents, James and Zoe Sitzmann of Zionsville, IN; his sister, Maria, of Zionsville, IN; his sister, Tess, of NY, NY; his sister, Anna (Austin) of Pittsburgh, PA; and his brother, Joseph, of Zionsville, IN. John is also survived by his grandfather, Eugene Sitzmann, of St. Paul, MN, and his grandmother, Lida H. Churchville, of Providence, RI. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to Camp Voyageur in Ely, MN.The family will receive friends at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, MD 21401 on Friday from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Catholic Church 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 Saturday at 9 AM. Interment in Saint Anne's Cemetery.
