John William GrammerJohn William Grammer, 67, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.He was born on February 2, 1950 in Lafayette to the late Gilbert Rudolf and Maxine Ann (Mansfield) Grammer. John served in the United States Army from 1968-1970.On September 10, 2011, he married Linda Micenec in Lafayette, and she survives.John had worked for Purdue University where he had been a cook in Earhart Hall. He was a member of the Eagles of Lafayette and the Lions Club of Kempton.John liked working puzzle books, playing games, and making pot holders. He also enjoyed going out Friday nights to the Eagles and listening to the Country Rock Inc. Band.Surviving are his wife, Linda of Lafayette; his daughter, April (Ron) McKibbin of Kokomo; step children, Allen (Kaitlyne) Micenec of Indianapolis and Tracy (Kenny) Reece of Lafayette; his brother, Larry (Sarah) Grammer of Rensselaer; and sister-in-law, Cathy Nash of Lafayette. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Dominick, Hayley, and Rosie and 8 step grandchildren, Stephanye, Sabrina, Abby, Camaron, AJ, Kayden, Kolbe, and Kelce.He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Grammer and a sister, Diane Grammer.A Memorial Service will begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at First Baptist Church (411 N. 7th St, Lafayette).You may light a Candle of Hope in remembrance of John and sign his online guestbook by visiting
