Johnnie Jeffers was born on May 10, 1950 to the late Simon & Viola Holmes of Midville, Georgia. She departed this life on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was a devoted member of Thomas Grove Baptist Church and an active participant with the Burke County Senior Citizens Group. She loved fishing and spending time with her loving family., She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Tom Jeffers Sr., son, Minister Roy Jeffers Sr., sister Mary Holmes Ervin. She leaves to cherish her memories: five children, Thelma (Dave) Allen, Oliver Jeffers Jr., Johnnie Mae (Will) Johnson, Charlie (Shirley) Brim and Thomasina Jeffers; sisters, Martha Evans of Bronx, NY; sisters-in-law, Ida Mae Rollins of Waynesboro, Ga and Virginia Walker of Gough, Georgia; four step-children, Tom Cuyler, Jason Cuyler, Willie Cuyler all of Waynesboro and Alice Preston of South Carolina; Ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
