We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Johnny Mitchell, who left us on November 6, 2024, at the age of 78 in New York, New York.

Johnny was born on February 28, 1946, to his parents Sadie Mae Jenkins and Carl Mitchell. Despite growing up in a tough neighborhood in Charleston, South Carolina, Johnny always managed to keep a smile on his face and a joke on his lips.

Johnny leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, with four children: Simone Mitchell Brown, Renee Smith, Johnny Mitchell Jr, and Melvin Brown. He also leaves behind two grandchildren who brought him immense joy and laughter.

Johnny was a talented engineer who could fix just about anything. In his spare time, he enjoyed writing poetry and making people laugh with his quick wit and charm.

Although Johnny's passing was due to natural causes, we know that he is now sharing jokes with the angels and watching over his loved ones with pride and love.

Rest in peace, Johnny. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
