Johnny Banks , 77, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed on October 11, 2023. Johnny was born on June 24, 1946. He was the second son of Charlie Banks Sr. and Margie B . Walker Banks . johnny was baptized as one a s Jehovah's Witnesses and was a faithful servant.

Johnny was industrious and worked at Carl's Shoe Store as a teenager. He was well known throughout the greater Montgomery, Central and South Alabama Regions through his many years working with North Carolina Mutual and Booker T . Washington Insurance Companies . Even after retirement clients continued to depend on him to answer questions and assist with resolving problems .

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Charlie Banks Sr. and Mrs. Margie B . Banks . ; brothers Jeremiah Banks and Hayward Banks ; son Johnny Banks Jr. and grandchildren Baby Ghani and Baby Chase .

Memories of Johnny will be treasured by his adoring wife Elmyra Banks ; daughters Monica D . Banks and Pamela K . Banks ; sisters Maudie Banks and Linda (John ,Sr.) Turner ; brothers , Charlie Banks , Jr. and Danny Banks all of Montgomery, AL. ; 10 grandchildren , 7 great - grandchildren and a host of nieces , nephews , and friends.
