Johnny FowlerCocoaJohnny T. Fowler, 70, of Cocoa, FL, passed peacefully at home on April 29, 2017. Johnny was born on July 19, 1946 in Hartville, OH His family relocated to Avon Park Florida in 1947 before settling to Merritt Island in 1957. Johnny enjoyed his career as a heavy equipment and Crane Operator at the US Navy Port in Cape Canaveral. He was one of the many volunteers who helped with the debris of the Challenger disaster and volunteered throughout his life. Johnny was a member of the Fraternal Order Of Eagles in Cocoa, FL. He served many positions there and instrumental in the remodel of the new location. He supported his wife Dee in her volunteerism at the First Baptist Church of Cocoa.Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Ruth Fowler and his step-son, Dencil Lee Chapman.Left to cherish Johnny's memory is his beloved wife of 41 years; Deloris Fowler, his daughter; Mauri B. Howard (Todd), his step-son Darrell E. Chapman, his brothers; Larry Fowler (Don), Ken Fowler (Sandy), and Nick Fowler, and his sister Connie McDaniel (Tim). He also leaves behind his grandchildren Laurrin, Bayli Austine, Cooper, and Brystal and one great-grandson Ashtin.A visitation is scheduled for Saturday May 13, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. ~ 12:00 P.M. at the Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, located at 5475 US-1, Cocoa, FL 32927. The funeral service will follow visitation at 12:00 P.M.In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Johnny's memory to The Fraternal Order Of Eagles at 413 Clearlake Rd, Cocoa, FL 32922.
