Jolynn Hanna of Rochester, Washington passed away Feb. 17, 2018, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wa. due to lung illness and congestive heart failure. She was born in Monroe, Wa., Jan 29, 1937, to Berniece and Emil Keck.
Jolynn was a homemaker and a very dear, loving, and special person to all who knew her. She held a special place in her heart for her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and all animals great and small. She especially enjoyed the many hummingbirds that visited her home all the time and her kitties, Hazel, Elsie, and Smoky. She was a very kind and caring person who always cared enough to ask others about themselves and was genuinely interested in hearing about their lives. One of her wishes was to live on this earth long enough to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which she was thankfully able to do.
Jolynn was preceded in death by her mother, Berniece in 1967, her father, Emil, in 1990, and her son, Jonathan, in 2015.
Jolynn is survived by her husband, James "Jim", whom she married Dec. 26, 1956; three daughters, Lori Hanna of Rochester, Wa., Gerri (Dan) Davis of Olympia, Wa., Jennifer (Curt) Ivie of Centralia, Wa.; grandchildren, Pete Nichols of Phoenix, Ariz., Dustin Nichols of Lakewood, Colo., Tifany Palmer of Centralia, Wa., and Nicole Ivie of Lacey, Wa.; great-grandchildren, Aspen and Carsen Palmer of Centralia, Wa., Teagan Nichols of Lakewood, Colo., and Castle Busey of Lacey, Wa; brother, Arlen (Louise) Keck of Potlatch, Idaho; sister, Dawn Moore of Bainbridge Island, Wa., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jolynn will be sorely missed by her family and friends. At Jolynn's request, there will be no memorial services. Remembrances may be made to the Lewis County Animal Shelter in Chehalis, WA.
