AUGUSTINEJonathan ArniJonathan A. Augustine, 58, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016, after a brief illness. Jon was born on April 15, 1958, in Toledo. He lived in Perrysburg all of his life and was a loved member of the community. Jon graduated from Perrysburg High School and The University of Toledo. He worked in radio and at Commercial Aluminum Cookware, Hewlett-Packard, and Great Lakes Marketing before starting his own market research company, AZG Research, which primarily served hospitals and healthcare systems. Jon was a recipient of the 20 under 40 Award in 1997. Each year since 1996, twenty young community leaders receive this prestigious award, which showcases dynamic leaders from Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan who are under the age of 40. The program recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves in their careers and/or in the community. Jon was on the boards of the Red Cross, the Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Girl Scouts, lending his marketing expertise to each of those organizations. He was also a past member of the Toledo Club.Jon was a curious and friendly individual who loved to travel, especially in the Caribbean and Mexico. He enjoyed many trips with his family and friends, collecting new ones along the way.Jon was a devoted caregiver of his parents, Joseph and Doris Augustine, and his brother, Nathaniel who preceded him in death. His brother, Joel Augustine; niece, Lyndsay Leeman; nephews, Raymond and Rommy Augustine, all of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; sister, Melissa A. Cain (Mike) of Perrysburg; nieces, Emily Cain, Boulder, CO and Cara Radosavljevic (Aleksandar), Washington, DC; nephew, Bennett Cain, Queens, NY; and great-niece, Eva Radosavljevic survive.Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Perrysburg, OH.
