Jonathan Washington, 60, passed away October 12, 2018. He was born June 1, 1958 in Gilmore AR to Jethrow and Lillie Mae (Sims) Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eula Woods, Ora Williams, and Ella Ford; and brother, Samuel Goodlow. He is survived by his wife, Ella; daughter, Veronica E. Washington; son, Jason Washington; grandchildren, Marcus, Devonte, and Theodoare; brothers, James (Geraldine) Washington, John (Sharon) Washington, and William Strong; sister, Willie (John) Lilly; and well-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jonathan was a potter, gardener, and a friend to everyone he met. He worked with the State Legislature before becoming a lobbyist/consultant for renewable energy producers. Memorial Service will be 12 Noon Monday, October 15, 2018 with visitation 1 hour before the service at Cappadona Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Pastor Clive Ellis will officiate. Memorials in Jonathan's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the MSU Horticulture Department.
