Jordan FigginsChambersburgJordan Lee Figgins, 41, passed away August 18, 2017 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on September 18, 1975 in Baltimore, MD to William and Elizabeth (Furr ) Figgins. He was a resident of Chambersburg for the past ten years, and was a self-defense instructor for twenty years.He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Figgins; and his son, Chase Figgins of Chambersburg, his father, William Russell (husband of Loretta) Figgins of Delray, WV; his brother, Russell Figgins Jr. of Mercersburg; and his sister, KImberley (wife of John) Stup of Chambersburg. He has a niece, Elizabeth Figgins; and nephew, Exzavier Figgins; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Figgins; and his grandparents, Louis and Hilda Furr and Frank and Thelma Figgins. Jordan's children were his whole world and he was very proud of them. Jordan also leaves behind his lifelong friend Kevin Thompson; and his second family, his Evolution Self Defense family. Jordan and longtime friend, Krissy Marchewka established ESD in 2010. Self-defense was a lifelong passion for Jordan and he has mentored many children. He brought positive changes and improvements to every one of his students. He was loved beyond measure by his family and by his community. A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at 7 PM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until time of service.
