Jose Hernandez, 67, of Landover, Maryland, passed on January 28, 2024. Jose was born on February 10, 1956.
Jose Anibal
Hernandez was born on February 10th, 1956, in San Salvador, El Salvador, to
Andrea Lemus and Emilio Hernandez. The youngest of four children Anibal
peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on February 3, 2024.
Anibal was educated in the Wilmington, NC public school
system, graduating from New Hanover High School in 1975. Anibal relocated to
Oxon Hill, Maryland in 1979 working form Lincoln Mercury, in Alexandria, VA.
Anibal was also a Transportation Driver for Drug Fair Stores and the Coca Cola
Company. Over the last 27 years Anibal has been dedicated employee working for
B K Miller Company Inc. as a Transportation Driver.
In 1985 Anibal met the beautiful Cheryl L. Beck and in 1992
they married, and to this union they were blessed with two children. Jasmine
and Nick Hernandez of Hyattsville, MD.
Anibal was a man who would do anything for anybody, but he
was also a no-nonsense type of person. Known for his beautiful "everything
is going to be alright" smile, he was also a fun-loving guy who loved to
tell jokes whether they were the truth or not. He enjoyed his profession of
driving tractor trailers and while on the road he enjoyed listening to
conversations on Talk Radio. On the weekends Anibal would get the urge to take
a spirit of the moment trip sending his Boo in a rush to pack an overnight bag
for an exciting weekend where they may end up. He enjoyed watching basketball and football as he was a huge fan of both. Anibal also loved to dress and wear hats. His outfits would match from
head to toe including the hat. Anibal loved family time during the Holiday
Season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. He enjoyed the laughter and fun when the
house would be busting at the seams with family and friends making beautiful
holiday memories. Most enjoyable of all, he loved to see the joy it brought his
Boo when she would open her gifts of love from him on Christmas Day, two things
Anibal did not enjoy doing. Flying and Cruising, but he enjoyed driving his
family on vacations wherever they went. They would stop in different locations
to shop, enjoy the scenery, the people, the food, stay overnight, and travel on
to the next destination. He was a man full of all types of surprises, but the
one memorable attribute about Anibal was that he enjoyed making others happy.
If he was able to help someone in any way, that was joy to his heart. The smile
in their hearts would put a smile in his heart.
Anibal leaves behind to cherish his memories his lovely wife
Cheryl L. Hernandez, a family of two children, three sisters Tiffany, Ellen,
and Kimberly Hernandez, his mother Andrea and father Emilio, mother-in-law
Gertrude Beck of Capitol Heights, MD, his sister-in-law, and a host of cousins,
nieces, and nephews.
