Jose G. Rodriguesof Tewksbury, MA; 79 TEWKSBURY -- Jose G. Rodrigues, 79, late of Tewksbury, MA, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon at Tufts Medical Center in Boston surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Teresinha (Garcia) Rodrigues, who passed away in 2013.Jose was born on December 3, 1936 in Faial, Azores where he lived until moving to the United States to raise his family. He was the son of the late Joao & Amelia (Garcia) Rodrigues.After moving to the U.S., Jose and his wife worked extremely hard to provide for their family. Though he worked hard, he also enjoyed living life. He loved the outdoors especially gardening, and listening, singing or dancing to Portuguese music but his greatest joy came from being surrounded by his loving family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.He is survived by his children and their spouses, Elsa Bairos & John of Tewksbury, Joe Rodrigues and Donna Esposito of Malden, Maria Scaglione & Paul of Derry, NH, Catarina Moreira & Victor of Windham, NH; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers. He was predeceased by a grandson, Brian Arsenio, and his 3 sisters.RODRIGUES -- Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Farmer and Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, MA. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd at 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St. Rte 38, Tewksbury at 10 A.M. He will be laid to rest in Tewksbury Cemetery, Tewksbury.
