It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Tovar on March 31st, 2023. He was born on February 28th, 1963 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he lived his entire life.
Jose was a beloved member of the Santa Fe community, known for his kind heart and positive outlook on life. He had a passion for helping others, spending countless hours volunteering at the local homeless shelter and food bank. He was a selfless individual who put others before himself, always lending a listening ear or a helping hand to those in need. Jose's kindness shone through in every aspect of his life, and he touched the hearts of many with his unwavering generosity.
Jose was a dedicated family man, cherishing every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a pillar of strength for his loved ones, providing unconditional love, support, and guidance throughout his life. His family meant everything to him and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jose was also a talented musician, spending much of his free time playing guitar and singing with his friends. His love for music was contagious, and he brought joy to those around him with every note he played.
Jose's impact on the Santa Fe community will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and selflessness that will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Jose is survived by his wife, Maria Tovar, his children, Juan Tovar and Ana Tovar, his grandchildren, Sofia and Mateo, and his siblings, Carlos, Rosa, and Isabella.
A memorial service will be held on April 4th, 2023 at St. Francis Cathedral in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Santa Fe homeless shelter or food bank in honor of Jose's dedication to helping others.
