Jose L. Santana, 59, and a resident of Lorain, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at New Life Hospice in Lorain following a lengthy illness. He was born April 07,1960 in Cook County, Illinois.

Jose graduated from Lorain High School in 1981, with a Major in Automotive. He worked in Security from 1996-2000, and spent 15 years as an Assembler with Invacare. He also volunteered at the Lorain County Community College. Jose enjoyed Music, Dancing, spending quality time with his family and lending his hand to others.

Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Santana and step-son Chase Keaton of Lorain; his mother, Gloria Sanchez (Raymond), his grandsons Wesley Nixon IV and Kylin Nixon, his brothers and sisters, Manuel Santana (Puerto Rico), Manuel A. Santana (Gladys), Jose A. Santana, Carmen J. Cruz (Ramon- Chicago), Elba L. Santana, Ricardo Santana (Beth), Jose J. Vergara (Lillian), Jorge L. Vegara (Elisa), Evelyn Dickerson (Del), Maria Martell (Walter),Alicia Smith (Kevin), Jose M. Martell, and Harry Martell (Eva); his aunts and uncles, Jose A. Santana (Lourdes), and Amelia Figueroa (Osvaldo).

He was preceded in death by his father Anturiano Santana and brother Jesus Vergara.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 21, 2019, from 3 to 6p.m. at Andras Crematory & Funeral Services, 3900 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
