Josefina "Josie" Torres, 51, of San Juan, Texas, passed away due to natural causes, on January 02, 2022, at Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg surrounded by her husband and two daughters. Josefina was born on July 17, 1970, in Pharr, Texas. She was survived by her husband Juan Jose Torres; her daughters Priscilla Aparicio and Cecillia Hernandez; her grandchildren Jordan Aparicio, Jayden Aparicio, Jacob Hernandez, Jiselle Aparicio, and Jaelynn Hernandez; mother Josefa Herrera; siblings Jose Manuel Herrera, Maria Aurora Herrera, Maria Guadalupe Belmares, Juanita Vela, and Eustacio Herrera; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father Rodolfo Herrera.

Josie was a beautiful person inside and out, always willing to give a helping hand to anyone that asked. She was married to her husband Juan for 31 years and had two beautiful children in their marriage. She loved to take care of her grandchildren and never missed any school events. In her words, "being a grandmother has been my biggest blessing". She loved watering and taking care of her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her two daughters "Prissy and Ceci" any time she could.

Visitation and prayer will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home located at 311 E. Expressway 83 in San Juan, Texas from 5:00-8:00 pm. Funeral and Burial services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens at 4607 N. Sugar Road in Pharr, Texas at 3:00 pm.
