Joseph Burk, Jr., 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida, went to be with the Lord on August 04, 2021.

Born in Wyandotte, Michigan, he was the son of the late Joseph Burk and Jean Starzk Burk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Burk; his sister, Carol Burk; and his canine companion, Mr. Webster.

Growing up in downriver area, Joseph graduated from Lincoln Park High School in 1955. Following graduation, he served in the Army for two years. He also worked at Detroit Edison for several years and the Woodhaven Recreation Center between the 1970's to early 1980's. He loved collecting clocks, buying and selling classic cars, and spent most of his time training service dogs.

He is survived by his brother, Gene Burk; children, Jeffrey and Christopher Burk; step-son, Paul Whipple; grand-children, Natasha, Dawn, J.D, Justin, Brianna, Alyssa, and Chloe; and several great grand-children and step grand-children.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife in Twin Lakes, Michigan.
