Joseph Flynn, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 23, 2024, in Clarksville, Tennessee, at the age of 69.

Born on April 16, 1955, Joseph was the son of Woodrow (Woody) Crouthers, Jr and Barbara Crouthers. In 2013, he married the love of his life, Jean Flynn. He had a daughter from a previous marriage Jaime Flynn, who is married to Patricia (Trish) Mosley.

Joseph is also survived by his siblings Robert Flynn (Rose), Barbara McKeever (Chris), and Michael Flynn, along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Deborah Magee and father Woodrow Crouthers, Jr.

Joseph was the proud owner of a commercial painting business and retired in 2015. He was also actively involved in the American Legion Post 233 organization. He held many Officer positions from the Post level all the way to National. Joseph proudly served as Commander of the Department of Kentucky in 2013-2014. During his time in the Army, Joseph served as a SP4 in the Co A 1/501st Inf 101st Abn Div (AASLT) unit for 4 years.

Joseph had a passion for flower gardening and decorating his house for every holiday. He adored his three grandchildren and always had a smile on his face when spending time with them.

Joseph will be remembered for his sense of humor, love for his family, and dedication to his community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Joseph Flynn. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.

Memorial Service will be Friday 16, August 2024 @ 2:00 pm at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West 5817 Fort Campbell Blvd. Hopkinsville, Ky 42240.

Anyone wishing to participate with the Police and Riders escort, we will be leaving from the American Legion Post 233, 14633 Fort Campbell Blvd, Oak Grove Ky between 1:15 – 1:30 to the Veterans Cemetery.

Following the Service, we will be having a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 233 in Oak Grove Ky.

In lieu of flowers a donation to “Kentucky Boys State” at American Legion Post 233, P.O. Box 233, Oak Grove, Ky 42262 would be greatly appreciated.
