On December 11, 2025, the world lost a true culinary legend. Joseph Oyefeso, born on August 7, 1950, in Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria, left behind a legacy of delicious flavors and joyful memories.
Joseph, lovingly known as Joe to his friends and family, dedicated his life to the art of cooking. As the proud owner of a beloved restaurant in Lagos, he brought joy to countless customers with his mouth-watering dishes.
Although he never had children of his own, Joe found immense joy in teaching his nephews, Abiodun and Brayden, how to cook. He shared his passion for food with the next generation and instilled in them the importance of family traditions.
Tragically, Joe's life was cut short by a sudden heart attack. While we mourn the loss of such a vibrant soul, we take comfort in knowing that he now rests peacefully with his father, Olu Oyefeso, in the great kitchen in the sky.
Let us remember Joe not with tears, but with laughter and fond memories of his delicious meals and generous spirit. May his legacy live on in every dish we cook and every meal we share with loved ones.
