Joseph Anthony Fradianni, 77, of Vernon, formerly of South Windsor, beloved husband of Geraldine (Gulino) Fradianni, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Rockville Hospital. He was born on November 21, 1938 in Hartford, CT, son of the late Salvatore and Carmela (Quatrale) Fradianni. Joseph grew up in Hartford and attended St. Michael's School. He was a graduate of Weaver High School Class of 1956. He was selected for the Hartford Courant's 1956 All-District football team for offense and defense. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 40. Joseph was married to the love of his life Geraldine Gulino and together they settled their family in South Windsor. Joseph coached youth football in South Windsor from 1974 until 1981, helping to found the Admirals "C" team. Always a hardworking, dedicated business owner, Joseph was President of M&S Paving and Sealing Inc. , founding it with his sons in 1980. Working endless hours, he built up a successful family business over the years and remained a continuing influence until his passing. He was a member of the South Windsor
Rotary Club and the Knights of Columbus. Joe loved following the Red Sox, NY Giants, and UConn sports. Around the home Joseph enjoyed making home improvements, but must important to Joe was anything that involved his family. He was known by all to be generous, humorous, and straightforward. A kind, caring, and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed. Along with his wife of over 54 years, Geraldine, he leaves his children, Michael Fradianni of Harriman, NY, Steven Fradianni and his wife Maria Turturici of West Hartford, Joseph J. Fradianni and Karen Pola of South Windsor, and Lisa M. Hunter and her husband Brian of South Windsor; his brother, Angelo Fradianni of Charlottesville, VA; numerous nephews and nieces, his ten grandchildren; his sister-in-law Rosemarie Fradianni of Rocky Hill and brother-in-law and wife, Louis and Joanne Gulino of Wethersfield. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Fradianni and his sister Mary Whipple. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016, 10 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of his family.
