Joseph A. Rodericks, 59, passed away on October 13, 2016 in Venice, Florida after a year-long illness. "Joey" Rodericks was born on December 22, 1956 in East Providence, RI to the late Robert and Vilma Rodericks. He was a 1974 graduate of East Providence High School where he excelled in wrestling for the Townies. Joey was also an all-star baseball catcher, earning him the childhood nickname, "Yogi".He previously lived in South Kingstown, RI and recently in Venice, Florida. A skilled craftsman all his life, he was an avid follower of the Red Sox and Patriots. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen (Stockard) Rodericks, a brother Bob Rodericks (Diane), a brother John Rodericks and a brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Susan Stockard. He also leaves a nephew Bobby Rodericks, a niece Becky Rodericks (Barry Watt) and niece and nephew Amie and Justin Stockard.A celebration of his life will be held in May, 2017 on Salt Pond, Wakefield, at a time and place to be determined.
