Joseph J. Antonio, Sr.Beacon - Joseph J. Antonio, Sr., a longtime resident of Beacon, passed away on April 20, 2017 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh. He was 78.Joseph was born on May 27, 1938 in Beacon, the son of the late Joseph and Jessie VanTassell. Antonio. On May 27, 1961 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fishkill Joseph married the former Alberta A. Taylor. Mrs. Antonio survives at home. Joseph retired from Chemprene in Beacon.In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his children, Annette Antonio of Beacon, Christine Hajba and her husband, Joe of South Carolina and Joseph J. Antonio, Jr. and his wife, Sue of Beacon; his grandchildren, Joseph J. Antonio, III, Kaitlyn Antonio, Adam Hajba, Ashley Finnigan, Donald Presutti and Jennifer Shebanie; his sister, Joy Neary of Beacon; several nieces and nephews.Joseph was predeceased by his sister, Janice Antonio.The family will receive their friends on Monday, April 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Halvey Funeral Home, Inc., 24 Willow Street, Beacon.
