BOVA, Joseph CarlJoseph Carl Bova, age 72, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017, surrounded by his family. Joe was born on April 6, 1944 to Joseph Jefferson Bova and Olga Crocetti Bova in Everett, MA. Although born in New England, Joe lived in south Florida from a young age, graduating from Palm Beach High School in 1962 and Palm Beach Junior College in 1964. He was the Executive Vice President of Fidelity Federal Bank & Trust for 37 years and was instrumental in the transition from Fidelity Federal to PNC. Recently he was an active Board Member for First Bank of the Palm Beaches and served on the Village of North Palm Beach's Recreation Board. Throughout his life, Joe also served in various capacities with the West Palm Beach Rotary Club, Jupiter/Tequesta Chamber of Commerce and the BBIC. Joe's love for life was infectious, and his smile would light up a room. His philosophy of life was being good to others and finding happiness by being unselfish in his ways. Joe is survived by his wife Sharon of 37 years; children Jamie (Danny) Germaine and Christopher Bova; grandchildren, Logan and Payton; sister Mary Fields (Trent); and niece Hollie Fields. Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway One, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church of North Palm Beach, 717 Prosperity Farms, North Palm Beach.
