Joseph J. Vicere IIIAge: 65 • Lincoln, VTJoseph J. Vicere, III, Aged 65, was called home to his Lord on May 10, 2017. He passed away at his home after suffering a coronary.Joe was born on April 13, 1952 in New Brunswick, NJ, the son of Claire Monaghan and Joseph J. Vicere, Jr.Joe passed away outside doing what he loved to do working on his woodpile. He was an extremely intelligent and talented man who loved to hunt and fish and was very much at home in the outdoors. He enjoyed making international contacts through his ham radio and achieved the level of advanced class in 1984 and extra class in 1985. Prior to the onset of heart disease, Joe was an avid diver. He became a Dive Master and an instructor affiliated with the Waterfront Diving Center in Burlington, Vermont. He dove in both Lake Champlain and led many oceanic diving excursions as well. He was also an excellent photographer, capturing both land and underwater scenes. Joe was an accomplished guitarist as well.Joe leaves his son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin and Kristin Vicere and grandchildren Madison and Hunter of Springfield, VT. He leaves his mother, Claire Rifkin, and brother, Robert and wife, Kimberly, Rifkin and nephews, Ryan and Joe, and brother David and wife, Nancy, Rifkin all of New Jersey. He also leaves his former wife of 25 years, Wendy Hinsdale, of Colchester, and four, 4-legged and many 2-legged friends who will miss him dearly.We will gather for a celebration of Joe's life at Burnham Hall in Lincoln, Vermont on June 10, 2017 at 11:00 o'clock in the morning. Joe's ashes will be surrendered to the sea at his request off the Isles of Shoals to be at the family's discretion.
